Short Review- Flower Nail Stud & Diamond Glitter

Hello everyone!

I have lost track of how many of these I have done but i'm finally back with a new short review! This review will feature TWO different manis and TWO different products. Of course, as always, I will have direct links to everything I used for these manis. You can also receive 10% off BornPrettyStore using my code 'RAK31'

For my first mani I honestly had NO idea on what I wanted to do. I literally grabbed a bunch of items off my desk and some polishes off my shelves and started doing something I thought would hopefully look good.

I really like this flower, it's cute but it's also big. I recommend if you want to use it for a longer wear to stick it on with nail glue. I used Seche Vite to keep it on for a couple of hours but I also had to be EXTRA careful with everything I did.

These 3D flower studs come in a variety of colors such as, green, pink, mint, red, black, etc. They are currently on sale for .99 cents USD for 5 flowers! I think they look great as an accent nail. 5 on one hand might be too overwhelming :D

For this mani I used:

Here are a million shots I took of my mani! I really liked the combination :D

I thought I would be able to conquer glitter placement. It just looks so easy when everyone else does it. So this was definitely a NAIL FAIL. I cannot do glitter placement to save my life haha The different sizes, the small shapes, the cutting, nope..nope..nope..can't do it.

For this mani I used:

Overall, I will definitely be using the 3D flowers studs again. The diamond glitter was soooo hard to use but I will try my best to do a mani with the glitters. Glitter placement just takes a lot more time and patience which I don't think I have haha.

Both products are very inexpensive and affordable, have I mentioned free shipping?! Who doesn't love that?! Don't forget to use my code 'RAK31' for 10% off!

Until next time,

Nails Redesigned Vinyl and Mani Bomb Review

Hello everyone!

I have been sucking this month with blog posts but I have soooo much to share, new brands, new polishes, new everything! But first...Lets talk nail vinyls! Who doesn't love them? They are so much fun and so easy to work with. I think they are just great for easy nail art! I remember when I first tried nail vinyls and I had no idea what a topcoat was. Every time I applied them I would peel off the polish because I never used a topcoat. I HIGHLY recommend you use a fast drying topcoat such as SecheVite or HK Girl.

This is my second review of Nails Redesigned you can find the first one HERE. Like always, most of the items shown here will have direct links. Nails Redesigned has a new website and a NEW hand care line called Calm Your Tips Hand Care. Super creative name right?!

I also apologize ahead of time I forgot to jot down which polishes I used. I will try my best to remember them though.

Ok! Shall we start? For this mani I used these square swirls that I could not find a link for. These were so easy to use!

I think I have said this before but it's best to sponge on the polish than to just paint over the vinyls. This way it is least likely to leak through and mess up your base.

For this mani I used:
  • The Vinyls, of course
  • China Glaze Petal to the Metal
  • China Glaze Thistle Do Nicely
  • China Sun of a Peach

These vinyls were probably one of my favorites from the pack. There is so much you can do we these! You can make each diamond a different color, all one color, or a gradient like I did!

For this mani I used:
  • Vinyls, Fishnet Shield
  • China Glaze Highlight of My Summer
  • China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle

For this mani I used:

For this mani I used:
  • Vinyls, (could not find link)
  • Color Club Eternal Beauty
  • Color Club Blue Heaven
  • Color Club Cloud Nine

For this mani I used:

  • Vinyls, Could not find link
  • China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind

This is part of the Hand Care line. This Mani Bomb smelled AMAZING!! I swear when I opened the packaged that's all I could smell. The mani bomb was pretty hard to remove from the baggy so I ripped it open and it went flying. It hit my countertop then bounced and landed on the floor. Did it break? NOPE! It was still in tact after it went flying! I'm impressed

I did not take a picture of my nails because they looked a bit beat up but they smelled amazing afterwards and my cuticles were soft and the blue stains around my nails from a previous nail polish were gone. My favorite part was seeing how milky the water looked after the mani bomb dissolved.

This is after it hit my table and the floor! No dents!

Overall what do you think? Are you a fan of nail vinyls?! Make sure to check out Nails Redesigned awesome vinyls and awesome nail care goodies!

 Until next time,

Rica Golden Girls Collection and Cuticle Oil Review

Hello everyone!

Last month I was able to post quite a few blog posts. Yay! I will try my best to post at least 1 or 2 a week. I recently started a new job and i'm still trying to adjust to it so I haven't really been in the mood to do nail art. I do love to just slap on some polish so I may have a lot more swatches during the month of September.

Today I will be sharing with you 3 out 6 polishes from the Golden Girls Collection created by Rica. Rica is an indie maker that makes amazing polishes, stamping polishes, a great fast drying topcoat, cuticle oil and things for your body! There's a little something something for everyone in her shop.  These polishes were sent to me for swatching purposes so I decided to write a blog about them! Hope you enjoy!

Shady Pines Ma,
is a dense glitter polish that dries textured

For this polish I sponged on 3 coats and applied 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of nail polish. I was actually very surprised with this polish. It's such a beautiful emerald green. I can't say I have anything like this in my collection.

is a light/neutral taupe linear holographic polish.

This looks a bit white to me but also gray. I think my eyes are tricking me! I actually really liked that it didn't wash out my skin color which I have found that most neutral colors do. The application was smooth and was opaque in 2-3 coats. Isn't it gorgeous?!

is a turquoise holographic polish.

This was also such an easy color to work with, opaque in 2-3 coats. This is such a bright turquoise! I really like this color! I think overall I was excited about the whole collection. The colors are so beautiful!

I actually have this on my cuticles right now as I type this. I tested this cuticle oil out for a week.

I normally don't go to sleep after I apply cuticle oil but my cuticles were so dry that I decided to leave it on for the night. When I woke up it was like something magical happened! My cuticles were soooooo soft! I have never experienced that! They even smelled amazing after so many hours! I am truly amazed by this cuticle oil. I take it everywhere with me! It really works wonders.

Here is my before picture. This was before filing my nails and cleaning my cuticles. So yeah my nails look pretty nasty here haha.

This is the after picture. I filed my nails and cleaned my cuticles. Lets take a moment to just look at how AMAZING my cuticles look! They look so healthy and soft!

Overall I highly suggest you check out Rica's shop and take a look at all the different items listed in there especially these shown above!

Here is the link to her shop:
